Review by Tenzys Tech
CPU of Snapdragon 870 is clocked up to 3.2 GHz while Exynos 2100 is clocked upto 2.9 GHz. However, the Exynos 2100 has latest A-78 cores which gives more performance as compared to A-77 core of SD 870 which makes the Exynos 2100 a better option than Snapdragon 870.
GPU of chipset Exynos 2100 is equipped with Mali-G78 MP14 which is clocked up to 760 MHz while on another side Snapdragon 870 is equipped with Adreno 650 which is clocked up to 645 MHz. So for graphically intensive tasks, Exynos 2100 is better.
The memory frequency of Exynos 2100 is 3200 MHz with a memory bandwidth of 51.2 Gbit/s while in Snapdragon 870, the frequency is 2750 MHz with only memory bandwidth of 44 Gbit/s. So in this section Exynos 2100 would be a good option.
Energy Efficiency and Battery Life
As the facts are seen by the specifications in which Exynos 2100 built on 5nm process technology with 9 Watt TDP while on another hand Snapdragon 870 built on 7nm technology with 10 Watt TDP. This concludes that Exynos 2100 is better than Snapdragon 870 as the small size semiconductor indicates the more no. of transistors embedded in SOC (System On Chip) which is not only energy efficient but also significantly enhances the performance of the chipset.
Samsung Exynos 2100
The best flagship performer by Samsung among all the other Exynos chips.
Qualcomm Snapdragon 870
Overall Good chipset in Flagship Series.
Q. Which is better Exynos 2100 or Snapdragon 870?
Ans. Exynos 2100 is better than Snapdragon 870 as CPU of Exynos 2100 clocked up to 2.9 GHz with Latest A-78 cores while Snapdragon 870 clocked up to 3.2 GHz but still it is less performer due to presence of old A-77 cores. Exynos 2100 is built on 5 nm process technology with less TDP while SD 870 built on 7nm process technology. In several segments like display, camera, memory and connectivity, Exynos 2100 performs better as compared to Snapdragon 870.
