CPU

However, if we talk about the various CPUs then Clockspeed is not only the parameter on which it relies but also includes the core generation which is used in that particular SoC. So keeping this into mind, the clock speed of Samsung’s Exynos 2200 is officially not confirmed yet but it comes with updated cores in which one core (performance core) is cortex x2 which is the successor of cortex X1 used in Exynos 2100 with 2.9 GHz. Another 3 Medium cortex A710 cores are of 2.5 GHz and 4 Cortex A510 power efficiency cores of 1.8 GHz frequency.

While on another hand, Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 888 consists of a 1 performance Cortex X1 core which is clocked at 2.84 GHz. Another 3 medium Cortex A78 Cores clocked at 2.42 GHz and 4 energy-efficient Cortex A55 cores clocked at 1.8 GHz. So based on the updated cores, Samsung’s Exynos 2200 is better in performance as compared to Snapdragon 888.

GPU

In the context of GPU, the Exynos 2200 consists of Samsung Xclipse 920 with 1300 GHz clock speed. On other hand, Snapdragon 888 is equipped with Adreno 660 which has a clock speed of 840 MHz only. So based on their configuration it concludes that Exynos 2200 is better as compared to Snapdragon 888.

Energy efficiency and battery life

According to the specs, Samsung’s Exynos 2200 is constructed on 4 nm lithography, whereas Snapdragon 888 is built on 5nm process technology. This indicates that the Exynos 2200 is more power-efficient than the Snapdragon 888 because the small size semiconductor indicates a greater number of transistors embedded in the SoC (System on Chip), which not only saves energy but also significantly improves the overall performance of the chipset.

Q n A

Is Exynos 2200 is better than Snapdragon 888?

The performance of the Samsung Exynos 2200 AMD GPU is up to 34% faster than the previous graphics card. Antutu gives it a score of 965874, which is around 20% higher than Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 888. Exynos 2200, on the other hand, has more updated CPU cores than Snapdragon 888 and offers significant advances in numerous technological features like as connectivity, CPU instruction set, and display, while Snapdragon 888 tops single and multi-core Geek Benchmark rankings.

Will Exynos 2200 beat Snapdragon?

Unfortunately, in single-core tests, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 outperforms the Exynos 2200. The findings were released on the same day, revealing that the Exynos 2200 easily defeated the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 in multi-core tests but fell short in single-core tests.

Which chipset is better than Snapdragon 888?

Both the chips have almost the same CPU cores and are configured in the same way. The Samsung’s Exynos 2100, on the other side, takes first place in this area since all of its CPU cores are faster than the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 processor.
