CPU of Snapdragon 870 is clocked up to 3.2 GHz while Snapdragon 768G is clocked up to 2.8 GHz which makes the SD 870 a better option than Snapdragon 768G. However, other than the clock-speed the snapdragon 870 has latest cortex A77 cores while Snapdragon has cortex A76 cores.
GPU of chipset snapdragon 870 is equipped with Adreno 650 while the snapdragon 768G is equipped with Adreno 620. Frankly, Adreno 650 is much better than Adreno 620 other than the clock speed of Adreno 620, so choose wisely.
In SD 870 memory type is LPDDR5 which is energy efficient while SD 768G comprises of LPDDR4x which is less energy efficient as compared to LPDDR5. In fact, the memory frequency of SD 870 is 2750 MHz while in SD 768G it is 2133 MHz So in this section SD 870 would be a good option.
Display and Camera
In-display section, Snapdragon 870 supports display up to 144Hz refresh rate in QHD+ resolution while display resolution in Snapdragon 768G supports only up to 120 Hz with only upto FHD+ resolution only.
Snapdragon 870 supports camera resolution up to 8K resolution while Snapdragon 768G supports only up to 4K resolution.
Energy efficiency and battery life
As the facts are seen by the specifications in which both the SoCs built on 7nm process technology but the TDP of Snapdragon 870 is 10 watt while on another hand the TDP of Snapdragon 768G is 5 watt.
