CPU of Snapdragon 888 is clocked up to 2840 MHz while Snapdragon 845 is clocked up to 2800 MHz while on another hand SD 888 equipped with latest cortex A78 cores as compared to the SD 845 which makes the SD 888 a better option than Snapdragon 845.

GPU

GPU of chipset snapdragon 888 is equipped with Adreno 660 while the snapdragon 845 is equipped with Adreno 630. Frankly, Adreno 660 is much better than Adreno 630 as the clock-speed of Adreno 660 is also better i.e. 840 MHz while SD 845 has 710 MHz, so choose wisely.

Memory

In SD 888 memory type is LPDDR5 which is energy efficient while SD 845 comprises LPDDR4x which is less energy efficient as compared to LPDDR5. In fact, the memory frequency of SD 888 is 3200 MHz with 4 MB L3 cache while in SD 845 it is 1866 MHz with only 2 MB L3 cache. So in this section also SD 888 would be a good option.
