MediaTek, a chip manufacturer from Taiwan, has released the MediaTek Dimensity 7050 SoC for mobile devices. The chipset aims to offer MiraVision 4K HDR video processing to streams, Imagiq camera technology for taking high-quality photographs, and MediaTek HyperEngine gaming upgrades for gamers. With the latest chipset introductions from MediaTek, the Dimensity 7050 is the most recent addition to the company’s rebranding strategy. The freshly revealed SoC and the Dimensity 1080, which made its debut back in November, are similar.
Launch of Dimensity 7050 in Lava Agni 2 5G
Lava is the first original equipment manufacturer (OEM) in India to use the MediaTek Dimensity 7050 SoC in the forthcoming Lava Agni 2 5G smartphone, according to a separate announcement by MediaTek.
Anku Jain, Managing Director of MediaTek India, stated that the company has been working with OEMs in India to provide amazing experiences backed by a wide range of smartphone and smart device technologies.
According to Jain, “MediaTek Dimensity 7050 will enable OEMs to create exceptional smartphones with greater CPU performance, low power consumption, and incredibly smooth game experiences.”
The business claims that every year, MediaTek processors power close to 2 billion connected devices.
MediaTek Dimensity 7050 Specs and Features
The Dimensity 7050, according to MediaTek, is produced using a 6nm manufacturing technique and has MediaTek 50 UltraSave for power efficiency.
“MediaTek Dimensity 7050 allows OEMs to create smartphones with greater CPU performance, low power consumption, incredibly smooth gaming experience, and allow the device makers to create attractive, slim, and light 5G smartphones,” the company said.
The MediaTek Dimensity 7050 has an embedded 5G HSR mode that enables the smartphone to actively look for and connect to the cell tower with the lowest latency possible to reduce online ping.
Rapid app responsiveness and fluid gameplay are made possible by the SoC’s octa-core CPU, which has two Arm Cortex-A78 cores clocked at up to 2.6GHz, and its Arm Mali-G68 graphics engine.
The Dimensity 7050 supports a 200MP primary camera, hardware-based camera engines, and noise reduction algorithms. It also supports 4K HDR video. A 4K HDR video capture engine is now available for recording and streaming video in all lighting settings with less battery drain.
Full HD+ screens up to 120Hz are supported by the chipset and have MediaTek Intelligent Refresh Rate Display technology built in.
Wi-Fi 6: The chipset provides 2×2 MIMO compatibility for Wi-Fi 6 for quicker, more dependable internet connections. Other connectivity methods include GNSS and Bluetooth 5.
Dual 5G SIM, MediaTek 50 UltraSave: In conjunction with MediaTek UltraSave, the Dimensity 7050’s embedded sophisticated modem provides the chip with even better power savings, according to MediaTek.
