The latest flagship-grade mobile SoC from MediaTek has a release date, and it may be unveiled in collaboration with the iQOO gaming smartphone brand. The first Dimensity 9200 Plus-powered gadget in the world may have been discovered on Geekbench, outperforming even the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 with record-breaking single-core results.
Dimensity 9200 Plus launching date
The latest top-end CPU from the OEM, the Dimensity 9200 Plus (or 9200+), will be released on May 10, 2023, according to a recent announcement by MediaTek. The SoC may appear to be a flagship update, but it now purportedly possesses the strength to surpass the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 as the most potent mobile platform in the world.
The Dimensity 9200+ contains 4 ARMv8 cores clocked at 2GHz, 3 more at 3GHz, and one last “performance” core with a peak speed of a staggering 3.35GHz: almost as fast as that of the snapdragon 8 Gen 2 for Galaxy, according to its most recent Geekbench 6 leaks. With both sets of results now securely above 2000 in these terms, this configuration’s single-core scores on the benchmark outperformed those associated with the newest generation of 8 Gen 2-powered smartphones.

Additionally, the well-known tipper Digital Chat Station claims to have discovered another example of the 9200+ with record-breaking single- and multi-core scores of 2121 and 5655, respectively. So far, only one rumored Android 13 device has provided all of these class-leading results.
This “vivo V2302A”—the same model number that was previously seen hammering the AnTuTu Benchmark—is now planned to debut as the iQOO Neo8 Pro, the first Dimensity 9200+ smartphone in the world (as strongly implied by the company).
If so, it is hoped that it will also be the first new Neo-series flagship to get a complete worldwide launch this time around. Up until now, the Neo7 SE’s foreign edition, which is currently sold on Amazon.in, has come the closest.
